Age 88, formally of the Piedmont Lake area, passed away Wednesday, August 3 at The Laurels of Worthington, OH.
Al was born January 25, 1928 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Clarence & Clara Francis. Also preceding him in death was his wife Mavis Rabe Francis, Three brothers, Ellwood, Glenn, & Ronald, and a sister, Mildred Mack.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church where he often served as Santa Clause and a member of Flushing Lodge F&AM.
Surviving are two daughters: Pamela ‘Gene’ Bussa of GA. And Lorie Zelina of Columbus. A son, Alvin LeRoy Frances, Jr of St.Clairsville. 16 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry, Saturday,
August 6, 2016 from 11:00 to until time of service at 1:00 pm.
Rev. Tom Detling will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
